Frequently asked questions
How does the extension work?
On any web page, you can click the extension button to send the page content to our backend for processing and data extraction to your Google Sheets.
What kind of tasks can I automate?
The extension can be configured to perform a wide variety of data extraction tasks from web pages. The specific tasks are defined in the JSON files stored in your extension. These can be customized for different websites and data points you wish to collect.
How do I change what data to extract?
You can simply change the columns of your spreadsheet and the extension will update itself to extract the needed data.
How can I control the extracted data formatting?
You can control data format for any column by updating the task configuration in the extension.
Where are the task configurations stored?
The JSON files that contain the instructions for each data extraction task are stored locally within your browser extension on the client side. This ensures that the specific rules for your tasks are not stored on our backend.
Is there a usage limit?
Yes, the extension has a usage limit. We store your current usage and your available limit on our backend to manage your access to the service.
What happens when I reach my usage limit?
If you reach your usage limit, the extension's functionality will be temporarily disabled. You can either wait for your limit to reset or contact us for options to increase your limit. Your usage count is stored on our backend to manage this.
What should I do in case of a bug?
You can use a feedback form in the extension to send us a bug report. Or send an email to [email protected]
What personal information do you collect?
We collect your Google email and your usage data (the number of times you've used the extension and your remaining usage limit). We also store Google access and refresh tokens to manage your Google Sheets access.
How is my personal data used?
Your email is used for authentication. The web page content is sent to our backend and a cloud-based AI to be parsed. Your Google tokens are used to write the extracted data to your spreadsheets on your behalf.
Is my personal data shared with anyone?
We use a cloud LLM to process the page content and task JSONs, but we do not share any personally identifiable information like your email with the LLM provider. We may share your information if legally required to do so.
How do you handle my Google tokens?
Your Google access and refresh tokens are securely stored in our database. We use them solely to access and manage your Google Spreadsheets as directed by you. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings.
How can I manage my data or revoke access?
You can manage the data in your Google Spreadsheets directly. To revoke our access to your Google account and its associated Spreadsheets, you can go to your Google Account security settings and remove the app's permissions.
